Review: Fish & Sips at Ody-Sea Aquarium Scottsdale

On Friday, July 26, 2024 my husband and I attended the Fish & Sips event at Ody-Sea Aquarium located in Scottsdale, Arizona. This was an event we had heard about previously and decided to attend. Upon arriving and getting scanned in, you head up the escalator and there you will find the first bar. We had chosen to be there right when it opened, you can choose a time for arrival when purchasing your ticket early online. We decided to try the signature margarita, I couldn’t tell you the flavor but it was blue/green, tasted like a margarita and had a gummy shark on top. It was very tasty and I don’t usually drink but decided to have this one. It was $13 and they had a wide selection of drinks available.

After getting our drinks, we walked around the aquarium and it was really nice to have the place almost to ourselves, it was calm and quiet, absolutely perfect.

For this even they did have food available for purchase from Johnny Rockets, which does have a restaurant within the Arizona Boardwalk. You could get 2 sliders with fried, 2 hot dogs with fries or a cup of fries. It was very filling and the price was very reasonable.

They also offer a Virtual Reality experience for an additional cost. It has been a few years since I’ve been to the aquarium but one of the new additions was the Starbucks, which is in the same area that they were serving food. From there we went downstairs to see the rest of the aquarium. For this even you can walk through the Carousel without having to ride it, which was nice so you could take your time.

In one of the viewing rooms they had live music from Dominick Provenzano, bench seats and tables with candles for soft lighting, it was a romantic setting for an aquarium.
